Its where we live and the name is derived from our two names

MARion & MICk

We are involved in many types of Crafts but the main ones are

Woodturning and Machine Embroidery

We are starting to get into Quilting but this is in its early stages

We are both young OAP's and we live in a picturesque village in Essex.
This site covers hobbies and crafts that we are involved in albeit we are only amateurs.

Following my shoulder operation in December 2017 I was told 6 - 12 months taking things steady so no Woodturning. Having been presented with a small lathe as a retirement present, I thought I'd try turning some pens. The results aren't too bad. Have a look and let us know what you think. Mick. I have had a new shed erected solely for the purpose of woodturning, and have acquired a second lathe, so I have now progressed on to other turning besides pens. I'd like to get more into Segmented Turning as they give you the WOW factor !!!
